Diplomatic missions of Turkmenistan abroad widely celebrated World Bicycle Day.

Every year on June 3, World Bicycle Day is widely celebrated in Turkmenistan and in many countries. On this occasion, diplomatic and consular missions of Turkmenistan abroad organized mass cycling events.
In celebration of World Bicycle Day, the Consulate General of Turkmenistan in Dubai organized a cycling ride in Dubai on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's Independence and World Bicycle Day.
The cycling event was attended by Consulate representatives, Turkmen students studying at higher education institutions and Turkmenistan youth.
The cycling event was held in an atmosphere of high organization, friendship and unity. Participants expressed their support for Turkmenistan's international initiatives aimed at developing sports diplomacy, promoting mass sports and fostering an environmentally responsible lifestyle among young people.
The purpose of the event was to promote the cycling movement, advance environmentally friendly modes of transport and support of the principles of sustainable development and a healthy lifestyle.
The Guinness World Records recognized the largest cycling training session, the longest cycling race and the longest continuous cycling ride, held in Ashgabat in 2018 and 2019.
Let us remind that in 2018, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the United Nations General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution declaring on June 3 as "World Bicycle Day" and a Resolution on "Integrating the mass use of bicycles into public transport systems for sustainable development in 2022".
