National Leader of Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan met with the Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
On 3 December 2024, in the framework of the working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Expressing satisfaction with the opportunity to discuss the priority areas of interstate relations, Hero-Arkadag and the Head of the Saudi Arabian Government underlined the rapid growth of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, expressing gratitude to the Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the invitation to participate in the “One Water” Summit, congratulated on the success of the event, and conveyed greetings from the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud noted that the meeting with the Hero-Arkadag is a sign of special respect and friendship, as well as expressed gratitude to the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty for active participation in the Summit on his own behalf and on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud and expressed his best wishes to the esteemed President of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting it was emphasized that Turkmenistan, implementing its foreign policy course on the principles of neutrality and peacekeeping, is developing equal and constructive cooperation with all countries of the world, including the Arab world. Friendly relations with Saudi Arabia are a vivid example.
It was underlined that the two countries effectively cooperate within the framework of international organizations, primarily the UN and other respected structures. In this regard, the importance of the given Summit and specific proposals put forward by Turkmenistan were highlighted.
The interlocutors confirmed that they intend to further strengthen bilateral trade-economic relations, as well as expand cooperation in the energy, transport and communication spheres. They noted the fruitful nature of cultural and humanitarian ties, which serves as a bridge for the rapprochement of the two peoples and strengthening of centuries-old friendship.
At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Crown Prince, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud expressed their best wishes to each other and the brotherly peoples of two countries.
