TURKMENISTAN STANDS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF HUMANITARIAN COOPERATION IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE CIS

At the session of the Foreign Ministers’ Council of the CIS held on 2 April 2021 in Moscow, the participants discussed a wide range of issues related to the political-diplomatic, trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation. One of the main topics of discussion was the partnership on healthcare.

Speaking at the session, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan R.Meredov voiced the standpoint of Turkmenistan on strengthening the efficiency of the mechanisms created within the CIS. It was stated that the Turkmen side stands for the development of common approaches based on clear political and legal norms and principles of international law.

Also, the head of MFA of Turkmenistan expressed interest of the Turkmen side in the expansion of cooperation on preserving the historic-cultural legacy, development of scientific contacts and combining the efforts in the area of healthcare.
