COOPERATION ISSUES WITH THE AMERICAN COMPANY “CASE NEW HOLLAND” DISCUSSED

On the 5th of November 2020, an online-meeting was held with the representatives of the American company “Case New Holland” headed by the CNH International Business Director for Central Asian countries Stuart Campbell.

The Minister of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan M.Serdarov, Chairman of the State Committee for Water Management G.Baijanov, as well as the representatives of these organizations took part in the meeting from the Turkmen side.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on current state and prospects of mutually beneficial cooperation.

It is worthwhile to note that intensive development of agricultural sphere is among the priorities of state policy of Turkmenistan. In the result of consistent implementation of the programmes on socio-economic development of the country, all the sectors of national economy, including the agriculture undergo multilevel reforms, mechanization and digitalization.

The company makes a valuable input into the development and strengthening of technical capabilities of the agricultural sector of the country by supplying the newest types of equipment, including the tractors for arable lands, combine harvesters and cotton combines, and others. In this regard, the parties discussed the procurement issues of agricultural equipment of “Case” which is designed to suit the soil-climate conditions of Turkmenistan.

The Turkmen side confirmed its steady adherence to the reforms and modernization of the agriculture of the country and expressed hope for further development of cooperation.
