Days of Culture of the Russian Federation were held in Turkmenistan
On October 16-17, 2024, Days of Culture of the Russian Federation were held in Turkmenistan. This creative event once again demonstrated the importance of the cultural and humanitarian sphere in the strategic partnership of the two friendly states.
On October 16, a solemn opening ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan was held at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The event was attended by representatives of the cultural sphere, mass media, creative intelligentsia, numerous residents and guests of Ashgabat.
Masters of culture and arts of the Russian Federation performed on stage. Russia was represented by the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Adygea "Nalmes". The concert was decorated with a potpourri on ancient folk instruments and other creative performances.
In the foyer of the Palace of Mukams, an exhibition of works by photo artists and works of applied art prepared by the State Russian House of Folk Art named after V.D. Polenov was opened.
As part of the Days of Culture, the soloist of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic, pianist, winner of the XV International Tchaikovsky Competition, laureate of All-Russian and international competitions Dmitry Masleev held a master class at the Turkmen National Conservatory named after Maya Kulieva and at the Special Music Boarding School.
The series of events continued with a concert of classical music "Towards the Anniversary of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky". Dmitry Masleev performed works by P.I. Tchaikovsky and S.V. Rachmaninov.
There was also a master class by soloists of the State Academic Folk Dance Ensemble of Adygea "Nalmes" for Turkmen dance groups. The guests spoke about the features of folk stage choreography, as well as the methodology of ancient Adyghe dances, compositions, dance performances with fascinating plots.
The Russian National Museum of Music has prepared an exhibition called "Planet Tchaikovsky" dedicated to the work of the great Russian composer. The exhibition presents unique materials from the museum's collection, including historical documents, personal belongings, photographs and musical scores.
As part of the Days of Culture, members of the Russian delegation took part in a flower-laying ceremony at the Makhtumkuli Fragi monument erected in the picturesque foothills of the Kopetdag, and also visited the National Museum of the Turkmen Carpet.
On October 17, the closing ceremony of the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan was held at the Palace of Mukams of the State Cultural Center.
Participants in the creative event emphasized the role and significance of the Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan in the mutual enrichment of cultures and mutual understanding of fraternal peoples, in expanding humanitarian dialogue.
